Report Wizard

The report wizard enables supervisors to create their own reports on the fly. These can be saved and published to other supervisor groups afterwards.

To create a new report, the following steps have to be executed:

  1. Select View

Views are predefined tables that will read data from the iAGENT Database. Several views are available.

To find out if the selected view is appropriate, the associated data fields can be viewed using the +Column button.

  1. Edit filter

After selecting a view, the filters can be defined with which the report is to be narrowed down, e.g. the date or the category (this depends on which filters are contained in the view).
For some views, in addition to the corresponding fields, all mail properties defined in the system are also offered for filtering after a separator with the title Properties.

Tab Ungrouped:

  1. Select columns

Now the columns can be selected through a click on the +Column button.

Several columns can be selected and will be inserted in the preview table after clicking OK.

Beside the columns of the selected view, all defined mail properties may be selected as columns for the report as well. The properties are listed below a separator with the title Properties in the columns dropdown.

Allow view:

For reports that are only to be executable with a selected grouping, the checkbox Allow view may be removed. The report can then only be executed with a grouping.

Arrow buttons:

Through the arrow buttons, the order of the columns can be modified. The columns in the table preview can be highlighted through clicking on the header and the selected column can be moved left or right.

Alias names in the header:

Each column allows to create an alias that will be shown in the final report instead of the real column name. To activate the edit field of the alias, click on the little pen symbol beside it.

Remove column:

A little x icon in the column header allows to remove the faulty inserted columns.

Tab Grouped:

  1. Select grouping option columns

+Add Grouping

The columns the report may be grouped by, can be selected through a click on the button +Add Grouping. All selected columns will be inserted in a preview table.

Only the previously selected columns on the tab Ungrouped may be selected here. If no columns have been selected there, all columns of the selected view are available for grouping.

Allow view:

For reports that are not to be grouped at all, the Allow view checkbox may be unchecked.

+Add Function

A grouping only makes sense when sums, average amounts or other functions can be calculated for each row in the report. Summable columns are e.g. TIMESUM or SERVICE_LEVEL. Through this button, grouping functions of several types may be inserted.

All columns of summable types will be displayed as sub menu items.

  • Count of Rows:
    The count of rows that have been taken into account in this specific row
  • Sum:
    The sum of the selected column
  • Average:
    The average value of the selected column
  • Number of distinct:
    The count of different values of the selected column
  • Standard deviation:
    Delivers the definition of the standard deviation (for statistical use) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_deviation)
  • Minimum:
    Delivers the smallest value of the selected column
  • Maximum:
    Delivers the biggest value of the selected column

Arrow buttons:

  1. Save report

Save

After clicking on Save, a small dialog opens where you can enter the name of the new report and a description of it. If this newly created report should also be made accessible to other employees, a permission identical to the name would have to be assigned to the respective supervisor group.

Reset

After clicking on Reset, all adjustments already made will be reset. The screen will then look the same as when you first entered it. All selected columns / views / groupings will be removed.
